I am retired and an ardent ROUGHRIDER fan for life. While I am fairly satisfied with management's efforts to resign our fre agents and extend Darian's contract, I have the same concerns that Hyle has and would like an answer. WHY DO MOST OTHER TEAMS IN THE CFL HAVE NO PROBLEM PUBLIZING THE LENGTH OF THEIR CONTRACTS AND WE DO NOT??? i AM NOT TALKING ABOUT DOLLARS...JUST THE LENGTH OF THE CONTRACT..WHAT ARE YOU PEOPLE SO SECRETIVE FOR??? PLEASE EXPLAIN.

Why is the length of contracts keps secret? I could care less about the dollars, I just don't understand why were don't get to know how long these guys are signed for.

Glad to see that you've kept so much of the team together; re-signing as many free-agents as you did. We need some new coaches, but that's about it. We have most of the same championship team retained, with a few key position changes. Wes Cates may not return, but Dominic Dorsey could fill those shoes. One import wide-receiver, Geran Walker, will be easily replaced by another import wide-receiver Prechae Rodriguez. Although they've been in the league roughly the same time Rodriguez only lost the '07 rookie of the year award to Dressler! Very unfortunate that Davis is retiring, he was an outstanding player and leader... but if someone has to fill the role as the new leader of the defense I think Omar Morgan would probably be the player with the most experience and most seniority to fill the huge shoes of Eddie Davis. Can't wait for the first game. Riders start the regular season hot, while the Al's take awhile to get on page. And... we're obviously gonna be looking for pay-back. Riders are gonna beat the crap out of the Al's in the opening game by at least two touch-downs! If the ref's don't call a fair game or don't call what they should, LET'S MAKE SURE THEY KNOW WE SAW IT! Vindication!

i read an article in today's LP about Joseph wanting to come back. Seriously we don't need this guy/ i hope the rider organization is smart enough to realize we've got talent in this position without this guy. thaks Go Green Go!

If Eric Tillman had to go, Brendan Taman is the best replacement one could imagine. Particularly great is having Ken Miller back. Terrific football mind. Bright, decent man. I trust that Kavis Reed is returning despite the Grey Cup. He was great for us as player in Edmonton, and with his intellect and vitality, he is an important cog in the Riders' staff.

The stupidest thing the roughriders could do this off-season is trade/realease Jason Clermont!!!! He's a fan favorite and you would piss alot of people off in doing non the less making it more inconvenient for him and his family! He didnt get a chance last season he's still one of the top receivers in the CFL. Keep Jason Clermont, give him a chance this up coming season and he'll have ov er 1000 easily.
